Inspection Schedule of Electrical Apparatus
On an inspection schedule there are many items to check, these are:
- Apparatus is appropriate to area classification
- Surface temperature is correct
- Apparatus group is correct
- Apparatus carries correct circuit identification
- Enclosures are satisfactory and undamaged
- There are no unauthorised modifications
- Bolts, glands and stoppers are complete and tight
- There is no undue accumulation of dust or dirt
- Earthing is satisfactory
- Condition of enclosure, gaskets are satisfactory
- Electrical connections tight
- Air gaps and running clearances of motors are correct
- Lamp rating and type are correct
- Electrical protection is satisfactory
- No cable damage
- Apparatus is adequately protected
- Guards where used are present and correct
- Stopper boxes are filled correctly
